Meet the Teacher Night!

Meet the teacher night was a huge success!  Our class had 17 out of 21 students, including their parents, participate.  This was the best turn out I've had in 10 years at Rowlett!  I can't begin to express the pride I feel, knowing how many parents we have that understand the importance of education.  Your support is much needed and greatly appreciated!

Some of you spoke to me regarding supplies.... DON'T STRESS!  Remember, like you, I too am looking for certain items on my 7th graders supply list! Uhhgggg!  Things of importance would include: Big Binder, Divider Tabs, Wide-Ruled notebook paper, 2 Composition books, 2 Spirals, and pencils. 

Tonight, your children were placed in a random boy/girl seating order.  As the year gets underway, your kiddos will give me a much better indication on seating arrangements and the such.  If after a few weeks, your child is having any difficulties with their seating placement, please don't hesitate to give me a call and we'll work to find the best spot for learning.

As you might know, in 4th grade we use assignment books to keep track of daily homework.  These books are $6.00 and they are required of all students.  Thank you to those of you who were able to purchase one tonight.  Within the first week of school, please try to send your child with this fee and I will provide them with a book.  If money is an issue, please do not hesitate to call/email me to discuss this.

I had a great time tonight and I'm looking forward to a great year!  Don't forget to go through your 1st day packets, which include PTA membership, and the Code of Conduct booklet.  The last page of the Code of Conduct booklet must be signed by you and your child.  This form must be returned before your child can utilize the Computer Lab. 

Enjoy the last few remaining days of summer vacation!  I'll see your child bright and early Monday morning!  I can't wait!!
