The Writing Process
Step One: Prewriting - the gathering of ideas that are focused on one main topic
Step Two: Drafting - the organization of ideas into a logical format, such as a beginning, middle, and an end
Step Three: Revising - where one makes changes to the CONTENT of the draft, such as adding, deleting, rearranging, and combining ideas for elaboration
Step Four: Editing - where one checks the draft for mistakes, such as capitalization, usage, punctuation, and spelling, which we call CUPS
Step Five: Publishing - the rewriting/typing of the revised draft for publication and sharing
